The night of February 24, 2024 was definitely a night to remember for anime fans and Ricky Montgomery fans combined. A cloth backdrop separated the band from the crowd, casting their silhouettes onto it in a mesmerizing kaleidoscope effect. When Ricky emerged from behind the cloth amidst flashing lights, the audience erupted with excitement. The opening song, "Line Without A Hook," featured a surprise appearance by Maya, also known as mxmtoon, a prominent figure in the indie pop scene. The unexpected collaboration sent the crowd into a frenzy, with Ricky and Maya even jumping into the pit to sing along with fans and exchange high-fives before returning to the stage. Despite Maya's brief presence, the energy remained electric throughout Ricky's set. His captivating stage presence, blending intimate crowd interaction with high-energy performance, held the audience's attention. Looking back from the photo pit, I could see the crowd's immense love, exemplified by a group of friends holding a plush of Satoru Gojo from the anime Jujutsu Kaisen, inspired by Ricky's viral TikTok hit "Mr. Loverman." Witnessing this fusion of internet culture and live music added an entertaining dimension to the show.

Before Ricky Montgomery’s set, Nashville based indie pop sensation, Noah Floersch, took the stage as the opener, and he and his band certainly lived up to expectations. Their performance struck a perfect balance between laid-back vibes and high-octane energy, igniting the crowd with enthusiasm. Their electrifying stage presence and engaging interaction with the audience created an atmosphere of excitement. At one point, Floersch even leapt into the crowd, reaching out to fans and joining them in song, truly immersing himself in the moment. Despite the somewhat ordinary lighting setup, which lacked variety, it complemented the intimate nature of some of their songs.
